Important Note from Ed Lethert (the Low Voltage Guy)

Updated on April 26, 2012

Greetings!

I celebrated my 71st birthday on January 23rd of this year.  Still a little hard to believe that I have been around that long, but facts are facts and there is no denying them.  Some might say that I have achieved 'geezer' status. Don't feel like it.

Oh, and just in case you are wondering, I am in good health (thank you, Lord) and I hope to keep it that way.  A significant part of the plan to stay healthy includes a self-imposed, mandatory reduction in my class schedule.  Simply put, I will not be conducting classes nearly as often as I have in the past.

The 4-day PLT exam prep classes will continue at least through 2012, and possibly through 2013.  There will be one class per quarter (see this web site for the schedule).  We can accommodate up to 27 persons maximum per class. Please note that these classes have been filling up rapidly and there is often a waiting list. I will continue as the instructor for the time being. After that ... well, it will most likely be someone else.

As for continuing education, classroom time for me will be limited to no more than two (2) days a week through 2012 (that one blew up on me already).  In the Metro area that will be Tuesdays and/or Thursdays.  Out-state classes will be conducted on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, or Wednesdays and Thursdays.  I will not be conducting any continuing education classes during the Summer months (late May through September). I have one more trip to Erskine this Fall, one to Blue Earth, and one to Marshall, and then I am off the road for good. After that, probably just a VERY FEW classes in the Metro area for one or two more years.

Conducting these classes for the past several years has been quite an experience, one I have greatly enjoyed. Getting to know those who attend (especially the regulars) has been a positive experience and I wouldn't have missed it for anything.

That's it for now. I'll continue to be around, just not nearly as much. Always happy to answer any questions where I can do so.

Best wishes to all.

Ed Lethert (the Low Voltage Guy)
