Ed lives in and works out of New Hope, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis.
He has extensive experience in a number of technology fields and has decades of experience in a variety of positions including:
Ed spent much of 2003 preparing more than a thousand individuals to take Minnesota's Alarm and Communications contractors license examination; a key step toward obtaining a power limited technician's license during the "grandfathering" period.
Ed is now teaching the continuing education courses that are required for renewal of the Minnesota Power Limited Technician license. These classes are designed to fulfill the State of Minnesota mandatory requirement for 16 hours of continuing education each license renewal period, and are approved by the Minnesota Board of Electricity. Classes are being conducted throughout the state.

Ed also teaches a power limited technician examination preparation course for those wishing to obtain the power limited technician license. He has prepared almost 1,800 people for the exam. These classes have a pass rate of approximately 85 to 90 percent.
